Summary
UNIT SUMMARY:The Observation unit at Northwest Hospital is a 20-bed unit that cares for a diverse mix of diagnoses. Most patients stay on this unit for less than 24 hours. Nurses on this unit specialize in telemetry, stroke and advanced cardiac life support (ACLS).
JOBSUMMARY: Provides safe, age-appropriate patient care, and functions as advisor and resource for patients and their families as a member of the patient care team. Works under the direct supervision and direction of the Nurse Manager.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Formal working knowledge; equivalent to an Associate's degree (2 years college); requires knowledge of a specialized field.
- Bachelor's of Nursing preferred from CCNE accredited schools.
- Less than 1 year of experience.
- Maryland Registered Nurse License
- American Heart Association CPR Certification, BLS Certification
