Lincoln Electric is seeking a Demand Planning Analyst to join our corporate headquarters team. This role will support finished goods business planning process to ensure high customer fill rates and promise date attainment. What You Will Do
The Demand Planning Analyst supports the overall finished goodsbusiness planning process by leading and supportingstrategic planning projects. In addition, this role will:
- Drive continued improvement for higher service levels for finished goods demand planning
- Development and implementation of distribution stocking strategies to ensure high customer fill rates and promise dates
- Achieve the organizations finished goodsinventory, DOH, and distribution cost attainment goals
- Manage the timing and release of purchase orders for finished goods materials from 3rd parties and subsidiaries to properly maintain distribution center stock, service levels and planned days of inventory
- Communicate closely with suppliers to improve on-time delivery performance
- Perform root cause analysis and implementation of corrective actions to ensure high level of inventory accuracy
Required Education & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Operations, Logistics, Business, Materials Management or related field
- 1 to 5+years of experience in Demand Planning,Customer Service, Purchasing, or Logistics
- Working knowledge of ERP systems preferably SAP
- Stronganalytical ability and ability to apply root cause analysis to solve process challenges
Preferred Certifications & Skills
- APICS certification is a plusor the willingness to enroll and complete the APICS certification program
- Six Sigma Grey Belt, Six Sigma Red Belt or Black Belt preferred
- Fluency in Spanish (both written and spoken) would be a HUGE plus!
