The Impact You’ll Make in this Role
As a Zone Vice President, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the US. Here, you will make an impact by:
Driving the strategic direction and execution of the operating plans for the US sales teams.
The ZVP role is responsible for leading a team of Regional Sales Managers overseeing and managing the Central Sterile/Acute Patient Care and Acute Care as well as Post-Acute Care sales business in the area in order to achieve annual financial and strategic goals.
- Lead a team of US Sales Leaders across multiple care settings and specialties inclusive of a field sales organization of over 500 specialized medical device representatives and regional sales managers covering 50% of the US.
- Contribute to the MSD US and Leadership Team’s strategy and operational plans, and effectively collaborate with the Marketing, Clinical Specialist, Key Accounts, Channel and Field Service leaders. Work with marketing and education teams to define sales training programs that enable the team to achieve their potential and support company’s sales objectives.
- Establish the strategic direction and execute the operating plans for the multiple Field Sales Teams: Perioperative, Vascular Access, Sterilization and Wound Care.
- Develop plans and strategies for growing and scaling business and achievement of the division’s sales goals.
- Continuously find ways to cultivate a positive, collaborative, and performance driven culture.
- Monitor customer, market conditions, and competitive offerings and activity, providing feedback and guidance to leadership and cross functional teams. Optimize the field sales teams contributions to accelerate, win or defend business opportunities, and to ensure that the business goals are met.
- Collaborate with Sales Operations departments on quota assignments, performance tracking and management and provide senior leadership detailed insights and accurate sales forecasting. Define and oversee sales staff incentive programs to motivate the sales team to achieve and exceed sales targets.
- Define sales processes thatdrive desired sales outcomes, identify improvements, and create implementation and communications plans.
- Maintain national sales team results by coaching and motivating employees, planning, monitoring, performance, and results.
- Evaluate and recommend optimal team structure based on company’s strategies.
- Attract, develop, and retain top talent for the professional team.
- Lead from the front, conducting field visits with both sales managers and leadership team members to ensure we have our finger on the pulse of market activity and impact and provide learning and development opportunities for the team.
Company Vehicle
This position requires driving a company vehicle, which will require pre-employment and ongoing review of motor vehicle history for candidates who are offered and hired for this position.
Your Skills and Expertise
To set you up for success in this role from day one, Solventum requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree or higher AND ten (10) years of combined years of experience in Field Sales, Sales Operations, Marketing and/or sales management in a healthcare/medical device, private, public, government or military environment
OR
High School Diploma/GED from AND fourteen (14) years of combined years of experience in Field Sales, Sales Operations, Marketing and/or sales management in a healthcare/medical device, private, public, government or military environment
In addition to the above requirements, the following are also required:
- Five to Seven (5-7) years of experience managing teams (leading leaders)
- Current, valid driver’s license
Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:
- Master’s Degree (Business or Science)
- Experience selling across the continuum of care: Acute Care, Extended Care, Home Care and other out of hospital facilities IE dialysis centers, wound care centers, home infusion.

- Business model innovation experience (ability to give recent examples in your career)
- Matrix multinational organization (current or recent)
- Proven experience developing and creating impactful short and long-term strategic plans
- Demonstrated new product launch experience
Work location: Remote – United States
Travel: May include up to 50% domestic travel
