Summary:
The main function of an AI Data Engineer is to construct and maintain data pipelines, ETL processes, and data storage systems to facilitate efficient data collection, processing, and analysis. They ensure data quality and accessibility for data-driven decision-making, collaborating closely with data scientists and analysts.
Key Projects:
- Design and Development of Data Pipelines: Architect and implement data pipelines and ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes to efficiently extract data from multiple sources, transform it to meet analytical needs, and load it into data warehouses, lakes, or other storage solutions.
- Client-Side Libraries and Data Visualizations: Develop robust client-side libraries to facilitate data ingestion and create insightful data visualizations tailored for enhanced data consumption.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration and Adaptive Domain Ownership: Partner with data producers and consumers, maintaining a flexible approach to domain ownership in alignment with shifting business priorities.
- Deployment and Management of Azure-Based Data Platforms: Deploy and administer Azure-based data platforms, ensuring robust security measures and access control mechanisms are in place.
Candidate Requirements:
- Years of Experience Required: 3-5 overall years of experience in the field.
- Degrees or certifications required: Bachelor’s degree in a technical field such as computer science, computer engineering or related field required
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Demonstrated history of success
- AI experience is a plus
- Worked in a team collaboration setting
- Portfolio is nice to have, if available
Top 3 Hard Skills Required + Years of Experience:
- Minimum 4+ years experience with developing tools and data pipelines using Apache Spark and Python.
- Minimum 4+ years experience with databricks.
- Minimum 4+ years experience with Hands-on experience with Azure cloud
The target hiring compensation range for this role is $67.06 to $74.52 an hour. Compensation is based on several factors including, but not limited to education, relevant work experience, relevant certifications, and location.
