Job Summary and Qualifications

The CT Technologistperforms routine and specialized imaging procedures in the application ofionizingradiationin accordance withthe established professional and departmental standards.The CT Techprovides high-qualitycomputerized tomography images ofthe used by physicians for diagnosis and treatment.We are an amazing team, that works hard to support each other and are seeking a phenomenal addition like you, who feels patient care is as meaningful as we do.

What you will do in this role:

• You will compassionately assist and positionpatientson CT table.
• You will start IVs for contrast injectionandwhen necessary.
• You will assess image quality andmake adjustmentswhen necessary.
• You will release customer with proper post procedure instructions.
• You will turn over and prepare room using aseptic technique between patients and clean / sterilize equipment.
• You will follow radiation safety procedures and guidelines.

Whatqualificationsyouwillneed:

• • Must be a graduate of a program with a certificate or degree in Radiologic Technology
  • American Registry of Radiology Technology (ARRT) or registry eligible with completion of examination within 6 months of hire to maintain employment.

  • Certification in Computerized Tomography (ARRT-CT) required within 1year of registry eligibility

  • American Heart Association or American Red Cross Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) certificationrequired within 30 days of hire.

  • Minimum of one year hospital department experience in Diagnostic Radiology preferred.
  • Able to accurately complete radiology examinations as ordered by the referring physicians.
  • On Call Required and must have the ability to report tothe facilitywithin 30 minutes of call back.

Research Medical Center is a 585+ bed hospital. Our hospital offers an array of medical and health clinic services. This includes women's services offering obstetrics and fertility, an emergency room, and a trauma center. We offer a Stroke Center, a walk-in clinic, and orthopedics across three Kansas City locations. Research Psychiatric Center is a 95+ bed facility. We offer acute inpatient, day treatment, and community-based outpatient behavioral healthcare.
