The Medical Assistant performs clinical duties such as discussing symptoms, obtaining vital signs, medication/vaccine administration, phlebotomy, collecting specimens, performing diagnostic screening tests, sterilizing/cleaning equipment, maintaining examination rooms, and documenting information into the electronic medical records system. Collaborates closely with Physicians and Advanced Practice Providers. Delivers direct patient care dependent on what active certification allows. Decisions typically focus on methods, tactics, and processes for completing administrative tasks/projects. Regularly exercises discretion and judgment in prioritizing requests and interpreting and adapting procedures, processes, and techniques, and works under limited guidance due to previous experience/breadth and depth of knowledge of administrative processes and organizational knowledge. The Medical Assistant possesses advanced skills and knowledge, contributes to process improvement, delivers in-depth education/training, and provides advanced guidance/mentoring to other Medical Assistants.

Required
Must have an Active Medical Assistant Certification or Registration from the following: American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA), Allied American Health (AAH), American Medical Technologists (AMT), American Registry of Medical Assistants (ARMA) * Foreign Medical and Nurses, National Association of Health Professionals (NAHP), National Association of Healthcare Technicians (NAHT), National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT), National Healthcareer Association (NHA), or Medical Career Assessments (MedCA)
3 plus years of Medical Assistant and Phlebotomy experience in 'back-office' direct patient car
Applicable State licensure in field of study (RMA/ CMA)
Medication/vaccine administration experience
CPR Certified
This role is considered patient facing and is part of the company's Tuberculosis (TB) screening program. If selected for this role, you will be required to be screened for TB
Preferred
4+ years MA experience in PCO center
Value Based Care experience including knowledge of HEDIS, CPT/ICD coding, and CAHPS/HOS Patient Experience
Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish - must pass proficiency exam prior to foreign language communication
Working Hours: Monday – Friday 8:00 to 5:00
Location: Must be flexible to travel to 5 clinics in the area as needed

The compensation range below reflects a good faith estimate of starting base pay for full time (40 hours per week) employment at the time of posting. The pay range may be higher or lower based on geographic location and individual pay will vary based on demonstrated job related skills, knowledge, experience, education, certifications, etc.$43,000 - $56,200 per yearThis job is eligible for a bonus incentive plan.
