Job Summary and Qualifications

IRNs work in interventional radiology or cardiology suites, assisting with minimally invasive procedures like angioplasties, biopsies, and catheter placements. These procedures often prevent the need for major surgery, leading to quicker recovery times and better outcomes for patients.

EDUCATION REQUIRED AND/OR PREFERRED: Graduation from an accredited school of Nursing.

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED OR PREFERRED: 2 years critical care experience. Sedation experience strongly preferred.

SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND ABILITIES: Demonstrated skills in organization, verbal and written communications, customer service, math, analysis, reading, following instruction, basic computer usage.

LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION: Currently licensed as a registered professional nurse in the state(s) of practice and/or has an active compact license, in accordance with law and regulation. BLS & ACLS.
