MANTECH seeks a motivated, career, and customer-oriented Senior Systems Engineer to join our team onsite in Norfolk, VA. This is an on-site position.
Join theNavy's Continuous Training Environment (NCTE)program and contribute to the evolution of warfighter readiness. We provide critical engineering and technical expertise for the U.S. Navy's premierLive, Virtual, Constructive (LVC)training capability. Our work involves seamlessly integrating live training with synthetic systems to create highly realistic and complex global training environments. We also drive the development of advanced representations for joint, theater, and national systems, and model new weapons technologies and emerging threats, ensuring our forces are prepared for any challenge.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Establishes system information requirements using analysis of the information engineer(s) in the development of enterprise-wide or large-scale information systems
Designs architecture to include the software, hardware, and communications to support the total requirements as well as provide for present and future cross-functional requirements and interfaces
Ensures these systems are compatible and in compliance with the standards for open systems architectures
Ensures that the common operating environment is TAFIM compliant
Evaluates analytically and systemically problems with management/planning/organization/processes and develops appropriate corrective action
Formulates and defines system scope and objectives for assigned projects
Responsible for program design, coding, testing, debugging and documentation
Ability to travel up to 25% CONUS/OCONUS
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering and a minimum of 8+ years of relevant experience, or a Master's degree in Systems Engineering and 4+ years of relevant experience
Experience with reviewing, evaluating, and integrating test plans across multiple systems
Experience with analyzing systems output
Comprehensive technical knowledge of all phases of applications systems analysis and programming
Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint experience
Clearance Requirement:
Active Secret Security Clearance
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50%
Constantly operatea computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine and computer printer.
The person in this position needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.
