Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled HVAC/Refrigeration Technician to join our team in Maryland/D.C. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration systems. This role requires a strong understanding of HVAC systems, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install, maintain, and repair HVAC and refrigeration systems, including air conditioning units, heating systems, and refrigeration equipment.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot issues with HVAC and refrigeration systems to ensure optimal performance.
- Perform routine maintenance and inspections to prevent system failures and ensure compliance with safety standards.
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications to determine the layout and installation requirements.
- Collaborate with other team members and contractors to complete projects efficiently and effectively.
- Maintain accurate records of work performed, including service reports and inventory management.
- Stay up to date with industry trends, technologies, and best practices to provide high-quality service.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent technical school or apprenticeship program preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in HVAC and refrigeration maintenance and repair.
- EPA certification for handling refrigerants.
- Strong knowledge of HVAC and refrigeration systems, including electrical and mechanical components.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift and carry heavy equipment and tools.
- Comfortable working in various environments, including confined spaces and outdoor settings.
