Who You Are:

You will be the one to ensure complete orders are shipped and delivered in a timely manner. A successful Shipping Supervisor is analytical, well organized and excels in communication. Must be comfortable with paperwork and information systems and have great knowledge of shipping and receiving procedures. The goal is to ensure that the shipping processes are running smoothly and effectively.

What You Will Be Doing:

• Manage Warehouse functions and staff (Loaders/Unloaders).
• Prepare documentation for delivery, shipping and receiving as needed.
• Set-up and maintain documentation process for daily outbound deliveries and inbound receiving log, verifying merchandise received matches purchase orders.
• Complete damage merchandise/discrepancy paperwork and prepare damaged merchandise for transfer.
• Coordinate routes by examining product dimensions and weight for each order and identify and evaluate any special needs for each load.
• Determine the most efficient vehicle for route completion.
• Coordinate all jobsite and truckload deliveries with customer base.
• Provide support to team of drivers.
• Use software to track, check, prioritize and route orders
• Responsible for inventory, manage and count daily
• Collaborate with warehouse, purchasing and other managers to optimize processes
• Resolve issues regarding shipped orders
• Ensure compliance to legal regulations and company policies
• Report to management on activities and issues

Skills You Bring:

• Provenexperience in the transportation of goods and material
• Building material experience preferred
• Solid knowledge of logistics procedures
• Computer savvy with knowledge of AX software
• Experience in directing and evaluating subordinates
• Excellent organizational and communication skills
• Attention to detail
• Problem-solving abilities
• Customer service oriented
• Prior 4D Forklift experience highly preferred
• CDL license preferred
