Job Description:

This is not a remote position; employee is required to report into their assigned facility for their regular schedule.

Job Level: FT Supervisor

Internal Grade Salary: 20E

Work Schedule: Monday through Friday, approximately 7 am - 4 pm.

The Buildings and Systems Engineering Supervisor assists in determining proper corrective action to be taken with damaged or worn equipment based on the history of breakdowns and discussions with the operations team to determine the most cost-effective solutions. This position assists with dispatching BaSE Mechanics to complete necessary conveyor system repairs and Preventative Maintenance Inspections (PMIs). This position monitors status of repairs and PMI updates daily to ensure timely completion of work. This position identifies operational improvements needed to promote efficiency of package flow and safety.

Responsibilities:

  • Assists with overseeing the protection of physical assets and equipment maintenance.

  • Assists with identifying and scheduling necessary repairs and preventative maintenance inspections using BaSE mechanics and outside vendors.

  • Review system performance reports, dispatch BaSE Automation Specialists and develop plans for corrective action.

  • Communicates assigned work status to colleagues to determine potential impact on the department's schedule.

  • Drives projects to optimize automated systems and processes.

  • Delivers required regulatory training (e.g., Lockout Training/Hazmat Training) as necessary to BaSE and non-BaSE personnel.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree, or international equivalent, in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM)

  • OJS and Maximo experience- preferred

  • Programming experience including troubleshooting, basic understanding of networks, motor control theory, and operation including basic AC and DC electrical troubleshooting - Preferred

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products

  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and simple diagrams

  • Available to work flexible hours including weekends, as needed
