Job Duties:
- Perform precise alterations on luxury women's ready-to-wear, including dresses, trousers, jackets, blouses and knitwear.
- Conduct client fittings and recommend appropriate adjustments while preserving each garment's original design and construction.
- Operate pressing machines safely to press garments after alterations, ensuring crisp, professional results.
- Work confidently with delicate and specialty fabrics, including silk, cashmere, chiffon, leather and embellished garments.
- Maintain impeccable quality standards and reliable turnaround times.
- Coordinate with the sales team to deliver a seamless, personalized client experience.
- Maintain an organized, professional workroom and care for all equipment.
Qualifications:
- Luxury retail, couture, or high-end boutique experience is strongly preferred.
- Proven experience in professional tailoring or alterations experience.
- Proficiency in operating sewing machines, pressing machines, and hand sewing tools.
- Demonstrated expertise in women's designer clothing and fine garment construction.
- Exceptional attention to detail, organization and follow-through.
- Professional, gracious communication and pride in one's craftsmanship.
