Machinst

Our client is seeking a Experianced Machinst to join their team. As a Machinst, you will be part of the manufacturing team supporting production of precision steel components. The ideal candidate will have strong blueprint reading skills, a commitment to safety and quality, and the ability to set up and operate manual machining equipment independently—so you can turn technical drawings into accurate parts that meet tight tolerances.

What's the Job?

• Set up and operate engine lathes, vertical turret lathes (VTLs), mills, drill presses, and other manual machining equipment
• Machine steel and alloy components to precise specifications and tight tolerances
• Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and technical specifications to plan and execute machining operations
• Inspect finished parts using precision measuring instruments and verify quality to production standards
• Troubleshoot machining and quality issues, maintain tooling and cutting tools, and document production data, labor hours, and quality checks

What's Needed?

• Minimum 3+ years of recent machinist experience in a manufacturing, repair, or industrial environment
• Experience machining steel components and working to tight tolerances
• Strong blueprint reading and interpretation skills
• Experience operating manual lathes, mills, VTLs, and drill presses
• Ability to work independently, follow safety procedures and PPE requirements, and maintain a safe, organized work area
