Inventory Specialist

About the Role:

The Inventory Specialist plays a critical role in managing and maintaining accurate inventory records to ensure seamless supply chain operations. This position is responsible for monitoring stock levels, coordinating with procurement and warehouse teams, and implementing inventory control procedures to minimize discrepancies and optimize stock availability. The Inventory Specialist will analyze inventory data to forecast demand, identify trends, and support decision-making processes that enhance operational efficiency. Minimum Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree or higher preferred.
• Proven experience in inventory management or a related field.
• Proficiency with inventory management software and Microsoft Excel.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, logistics, business administration, or related field.
• Experience with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, or NetSuite.
• Knowledge of supply chain and logistics principles.
• Certification in inventory management or supply chain (e.g., CPIM, CSCP).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities:

• Maintain accurate inventory records through regular cycle counts and reconciliation of discrepancies.
• Coordinate with purchasing and warehouse teams to manage stock replenishment and prevent stockouts or overstock situations.
• Analyze inventory data to identify trends, forecast demand, and recommend adjustments to inventory levels.
• Implement and improve inventory control procedures to enhance accuracy and efficiency.
• Prepare detailed reports on inventory status, variances, and key performance indicators for management review.
