Assistant Project Manager

Elford Construction is growing, and we’re looking for anAssistantProjectManager who wants to be part of building meaningful projects and growing their career in commercial construction. This role offers the opportunity to work alongside experienced Project Managers and field leaders while gaining hands-on experience across the full lifecycle of a projectfrom preconstruction planning through project closeout.

TheAssistantProjectManager(APM) supports Project Managers and field leadership in the successful delivery of construction projects from preconstruction through project closeout. This role helps coordinate project documentation, scheduling, subcontractor communication, and financial tracking to keep projects moving forward efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

•AssistProjectManagerswithplanning,scheduling,andbudgetingactivitiesduringpreconstructionandprojectstartup

•CoordinateandtrackRFIs,submittals,shopdrawings,andotherkeyprojectdocumentation

•MaintainprojectlogsincludingRFIlogs,submittallogs,andbulletinupdates

•Assistwithcoordinationofmaterials,subcontractors,andlaborrequirements

•Supportchangeorderdocumentation,pricingcoordination,andapprovals

•UpdateandmaintaincontractdrawingsbasedonRFIs,ASIs,bulletins,andproposalrequests

•Coordinateinformationrequiredforinstallationofowner-furnishedequipment

•Reviewsubcontractorandvendorinvoicesandassistwithprojectcostdocumentation

•Maintainprojectschedulesandsupportprojectreporting

•Buildandmaintainstrongworkingrelationshipswithsubcontractors,suppliers,andinternalteams

• Assist with project closeout including as-built drawings and final documentation

Qualifications

•Bachelor’sdegreeinConstructionManagement,CivilEngineering,orrelatedfield

•1–3yearsofexperienceintheconstructionindustry(internshipsorco-opsconsidered)

•Strongorganizational,problem-solving,andcommunicationskills

•Abilitytomanagemultipleprioritiesinafast-pacedprojectenvironment

•Proficiencywithconstructiondocumentationandcomputer-basedprojecttools

• Willingness to travel as project needs require
