Lead the people, systems, and daily execution behind a complex pressure-sensitive label and shrink-sleeve operation.

YouwillleadtheOceanside,CaliforniaoperationacrossFlexographicandDigitalHybridPrinting,Finishing,Purchasing,ShippingandReceiving,andFacilities.Therightleaderwillbringdisciplinetodailyexecution,developstrongfront-lineleaders,andimprovesafety,quality,delivery,cost,andteamengagementatthesametime.

WearelookingforanOperationsManagerwhocanseetheentireoperation,translatebusinessprioritiesintoapracticaloperatingplan,andcreateanaccountablecultureinwhichsupervisorsandteamsknowwhatgoodlookslikeeveryday.

Whatyouwillown

• End-to-endsiteexecution. Direct daily operations across flexographic and Digital Hybrid printing, converting and finishing of pressure-sensitive labels and shrink sleeves, purchasing, shipping and receiving, and facilities; align priorities so work moves safely and predictably from order release through shipment.
• Safetyandcompliance. Set a visible safety standard, ensure regulatory and company requirements are met, address hazards promptly, and build safety ownership into routine leader work.
• Delivery,capacity,andflow. Convert demand into staffing, equipment, and shift plans; manage constraints and priorities; and partner with Customer Service to protect customer commitments.
• Qualityinpressure-sensitivelabelsandshrinksleeves. Reinforce process discipline across print and converting specifications, color and registration, material control, traceability, change control, root-cause problem solving, and corrective action.
• Operatingperformance. Establish a clear daily-management cadence and use meaningful measures such as schedule attainment/OTIF, throughput, uptime, scrap and rework, labor efficiency, overtime, inventory accuracy, quality performance, and safety results.
• Continuousimprovement. Lead practical Lean and problem-solving work that removes bottlenecks, reduces waste and variation, shortens lead times, and sustains gains through standard work.
• Peopleandleadership. Lead through multiple supervisors, set clear expectations, coach performance, strengthen succession and cross-training, and build a respectful, engaged, high-accountability workplace.
• Businessandcapitalplanning. Own operating budgets and cost actions; develop workforce and capacity plans; and build sound business cases for equipment, technology, facility, and process investments.
• Cross-functionalpartnership. Work closely with Quality, Sales, Customer Service, Finance, HR, IT, and corporate resources to solve problems at the right level and keep the site aligned with business goals.

• Eightormoreyearsofprogressivemanufacturingoperationsexperience,includingsignificantresponsibilityforsafety,quality,delivery,cost,andpeopleperformance.
• Demonstratedsuccessleadingsupervisorsormanagersacrossmultipledepartments,shifts,orvaluestreamsnotonlymanagingindividualcontributors.
• Atrackrecordofimprovingoperationalresultsthroughdailymanagement,standardwork,structuredproblemsolving,anddisciplinedfollow-through.
• Strongproduction-planningandcapacity-managementjudgment,withtheabilitytobalancecustomerurgency,technicalconstraints,labor,andcost.
• Workingknowledgeofmanufacturingfinancials,laborandmaterialdrivers,operatingbudgets,inventorycontrol,andcapitaljustification.
• Clear,direct,respectfulcommunication;comfortholdingpeopleaccountablewhiledevelopingthem;andthejudgmenttoknowwhentocoach,whentodecide,andwhentoescalate.

• HighschooldiplomaorGEDrequired.Abachelor'sdegreeinoperations,engineering,business,orarelateddisciplineispreferred;equivalentdepthofexperiencewillbeconsidered.

• Leadershipexperienceinpressure-sensitivelabels,shrinksleeves,flexiblepackaging,printing,converting,oranotherspecification-drivenmanufacturingenvironment.
• KnowledgeofflexographicandDigitalHybridprinting,pressure-sensitivelabelconverting,andshrink-sleeveproduction.
• Hands-onuseofLeanmanufacturing,SixSigma,orcomparablecontinuous-improvementmethods.
• Experienceleadingequipmentinstallations,facilityimprovements,automation,ortechnologyintegration.

Physicaldemandsandworkenvironment

Thisroleworksregularlyinamanufacturingenvironmentnearmovingmechanicalequipmentandatamoderatenoiselevel.Itrequiresacombinationofstanding,walking,andsitting,aswellasoccasionalliftingofupto50pounds.Consistentuseofrequiredpersonalprotectiveequipmentandadherencetoallsafetypracticesareessential.
