RoleSummary:

Quantum Signal AI is looking for a motivatedApplicationsEngineerto joinour team.In this role you will work cross-functionally with multiple teams to help implement vehicle-adjacent technologies for research and testing. In this technical role you will work with advanced driverassistsystems, simulation, mobility, and in-vehicle experiences.Great candidates will have a broad technical understanding across mechanical, electrical, and software systems, along with experience in rapid prototyping, analysis, and clear technical documentation.We look for curious generalists who embrace collaborative project work and arealsoindividual self-starters.

Location:

This positionislocated inSaline, Michigan,with regular local travel to Dearborn (approximately one day per week).This position is in-person to encourage a culture of collaboration and mentorship.

WhatYou’llDo:

  • Collaborate withQSAI engineering teams, includingsoftware, mechatronics, and researchengineers, asa member of various project-focused, cross-functionalteams
  • Provide hands-on support for prototype hardware and software systems, includingtroubleshooting,maintenancecoordination,andensuringthatsystems are ready to use
  • Conduct rapid prototyping of hardware and softwaresystemsalongside QSAIengineers tosupport testing, validation, and execution ofprojects.
  • Supportdrivingsimulator setup, configuration, and test execution,partnering with QSAI engineering and research teams onstudies and testing activities.
  • Produceclear, maintainable documentation and presentationsfor internal use, and when applicable, for customer review.
  • Engage directlywithFord collaboratorsand QSAIleadership toidentifyprojectconstraints,understandpriorities, andgatherfeedbackthat shapes the project direction.
  • Report to and coordinate with QSAI leadership on project priorities, progress, and resource needs.
  • Identifyopportunities to expand your rolebased on your skills and growth interests, in coordination with QSAI leadership and project teams.

WhatYou’llBring:

  • Bachelor's degree(or equivalent experience)in engineeringor asimilartechnicalfield
  • Ability to execute against multiple projects in aniterative/agile framework while managing competingdeadlines
  • Hobby, school, or professional experience in any of the following areas
  • Mechanical, electrical, software,andintegrated systems
  • IT systems administration, networking,andinformation security practices
  • Developmentanddata operations
  • Strong communicationskills and a proven ability to build collaborative relationships with customers and colleagues
  • Strong analytical skills and experience with analysis tools such as Excel, Python, MATLAB,etc.
  • Valuespeerreviewand continuousimprovementand understands when you need help/feedback
  • Curiosity, a growth mindset, and passion for learning newconcepts andtechnologies

Bonus Points For:

  • Experience in systems engineering or business analysis, including requirements gathering, analysis, design, and testing
  • Familiarity withsoftware development processesas part of a team,including interface specifications, revision control, defect tracking, and continuous integration/continuousdelivery
  • Understanding of automotive systems, subsystems, and components
  • Work experience ina project-basedresearch and technology development environment
