What You’ll Do
  • Lead thepurchasing and design of automation equipmentfor manufacturing operations.
  • Identify and developautomation-driven cost-saving opportunities, including presenting recommendations and results to management on a regular basis.
  • Maintain, troubleshoot, and continuously improve existing automation equipment throughout the division.
  • Coordinate automation projects and technical activities withoutside suppliers and vendors.
  • Develop detailedspecifications and requirements for new automation equipment.
  • Review and approve designs for new automation machines and systems.
  • Manage equipment construction schedules to ensure new automation is completed in time to supportproduction launch requirements.
  • Manage procurement and purchase orders for automation projects with external suppliers.
  • Supportproduction start-ups, particularly as they relate to automation equipment.
  • Troubleshoot both new and existing automation machines to minimize downtime and improve performance.
  • Oversee the division’s ongoingcontinuous improvement efforts for automation equipment.
  • Partner with other divisions to support automation projects and manufacturing improvements as needed.
What We’re Looking For
  • College degreein a relevant field,or 5+ years of IM Processing experience.
  • Knowledge ofGeometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T).
  • Understanding ofmanufacturing safety practices.
  • Familiarity withStandard Method of Workprinciples.
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
  • Ability to work effectively with production teams, management, engineers, and outside suppliers.
  • Strong project coordination skills, with the ability to manage schedules and deliverables.
  • Ability to identify opportunities forcost reduction, process improvement, and automation optimization.

Safety & Work Environment
  • This position requires adherence to all applicable manufacturing safety procedures.
  • The role requires the use of ahandheld propane torch on the production floor.
  • Candidates must be comfortable working in a manufacturing environment and following established safety protocols.
