Lead Meaningful Projects With an Established Los Angeles Architecture Firm
We are representing an established Los Angeles architectural firm with more than 40 years of history and a portfolio of notable projects throughout California and internationally.
The firm's work spans institutional, educational, religious, community and other complex architectural projects, with an emphasis on projects designed to serve their communities for generations.
Due to continued growth, we're looking for an experienced Senior Architectural Project Manager / California Licensed Architect who can take ownership of significant projects, lead clients and project teams, mentor developing architects, and play an important role in the continued growth of the firm.
This is a senior-level opportunity for someone who wants more than simply managing drawings and schedules. You'll have a voice in projects, people, clients and the future direction of the practice.
What You'll Do
You'll take leadership responsibility for active projects while working directly with firm leadership, clients, consultants and internal project teams.
Responsibilities will include:
- Lead architectural projects from design and documentation through construction administration
- Manage project schedules, deliverables and consultant coordination
- Serve as a primary point of contact for clients
- Lead client meetings and maintain exceptional client relationships
- Provide guidance on building codes, technical issues and construction administration
- Oversee and participate in project Quality Control
- Coordinate architects, designers, consultants and other project stakeholders
- Mentor and develop junior and mid-level architectural staff
- Participate in employee training, development and evaluations
- Assist leadership with staffing and project scheduling
- Help improve internal processes, standards and project delivery
- Participate in proposals, RFQs, RFPs and presentations
- Develop and maintain relationships with existing and prospective clients
- Participate in business development and strategic growth initiatives
- Represent the firm at industry, community and professional events
What We're Looking For
California architectural licensure is required.
We're looking for someone who combines strong architectural and technical knowledge with the ability to lead people, projects and clients.
Ideal experience includes:
- Professional degree in Architecture
- Active California Architect license in good standing
- 5+ years as a licensed architect preferred
- Significant architectural project management experience
- Recent experience working on projects in California
- Strong knowledge of California codes, permitting and construction processes
- Experience managing projects through Construction Administration
- Strong consultant coordination experience
- Experience leading and mentoring architectural teams
- Excellent client-facing and presentation skills
- Institutional, educational, civic, community or religious project experience strongly preferred
- Experience with complex religious facilities, including Catholic projects, is particularly valuable
- Strong organizational, communication and leadership skills
Why Consider It?
This is an opportunity to join a firm with more than four decades of history while still having the ability to make a meaningful impact on its next chapter.
You'll have the opportunity to:
- Lead significant, highly visible architectural projects
- Work on a diverse portfolio rather than a single repetitive project type
- Build long-term relationships with established clients
- Work directly with firm leadership
- Mentor and develop the next generation of architects
- Participate in strategic decisions and company growth
- Expand your involvement in business development and client relationships
- Join an established firm with a strong reputation and substantial body of completed work
- Earn up to $160,000 base salary, depending on experience, plus bonus and benefits
We're interested in accomplished architects who still enjoy being close to the work but are ready to have a broader impact on projects, clients, people and the growth of the firm.
If you're a California-licensed Architect with strong project leadership experience and you're interested in exploring the next step in your career, we'd like to talk.
All conversations will be kept confidential.
