About This RoleWe are seeking a dedicated and passionate teacher to join our team at the EZ Steps Learning Center in Stamford, CT. As an early childhood education center, we strive to foster a love of learning in our students while providing a nurturing environment that meets each child's unique needs. This is a full-time position with an 8-hour shift, Monday through Friday.
What You'll DoDaily Responsibilities:
- Developing and implementing lesson plans to ensure a stimulating and engaging learning environment.
- Providing individualized care and attention to the needs of each child, including feeding, diapering, and potty training, to promote healthy development.
- Participating in regular staff and training meetings to stay updated on best practices and policies.
- Engaging with children to encourage exploration, play, and learning through interactive activities.
- Presenting clear expectations and setting a good example to help children develop essential life skills.
- Planning and organizing activities that promote self-esteem, social skills, and cognitive development.
- Maintaining open and professional communication with children, parents, and colleagues to build strong relationships and ensure a positive experience for all.
- Ensuring compliance with Goddard Quality Assurance and CT state licensing requirements.
- Using and interpreting assessment tools to monitor progress and adjust instruction.
Requirements- Bachelor's degree in early childhood education or OEC 12 credits
- State teaching license or valid certificate
- One year of work in a real classroom
- CPR and first aid safety cards
