Elite Fireplace is currently seeking aLeadFireplace Installer/Technician. The ideal candidate will be able to take the initiative and work with a partner/team in a fast-paced environment. This position requires a motivated self-starter, with critical thinking skills, who has abackground in theconstruction trades, electrical, plumbing, and/or finish work. Experience in thefireplace industryis not required, however, this is ideal.
Training and education, will be provided by Elite Fireplace.
Specific duties and responsibilities will include but not limited to:
- The ideal candidate will have the ability toleadand/or workindependently, and/or work with aninstallation crewto finish projects as scheduled.
- Address all customers in acourteous, respectfulmanner at all times.
- Valid driver’s license- Required.
- Installing and/or repairingdirect-vent gas, wood, and electric fireplaces.
- Understand or be able to learn aboutventing and chimney requirements,clearancesand otherspecificsfor each unit configuration.
- Mechanically inclined withpower and hand tools.
- Installbasic framingusing wood or metal studs.
- Handle heights daily- ladder and roof work isnecessary and requiredfor this position. This candidate cannot be afraid of heights, and be able to carry heavy items up ladders.
- Carryheavy equipment and productsonto job site manually or using necessary equipment as applicable.
- Handle small spaceslike attics and crawl spaces.
- General construction and tool knowledgefor framing, finish carpentry, sheetrock, and taping.
- Understand how to extendsafe and securegas lines.
- Basic knowledge ofplumbing, gas line,andelectricalwork.
- Ability to readcontracts, interpret contractspecificationsand instructionmanualsandfollow directions.
- Knowledge ofconstruction logic.
- Ability tofollow directionandwork effectively with others.
- Conduct oneself in aprofessional mannerat all times.
- Problem-solving skills.
- Strong verbal and writtencommunication skills.
- Attention todetail and design.
- Strong integrity and ethics.
Experience:
- Valid driver’s license - Required
