Harding’s Family Restaurant is looking for an experienced, dependable Line Cook to join our busy kitchen team. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, works well in a fast-paced environment, and takes pride in preparing quality food. Responsibilities include preparing and cooking menu items according to recipes and guest orders, maintaining proper portions and presentation, and keeping a clean, organized workstation. Experience with sauting, grilling, frying, baking, roasting, braising, poaching, and charbroiling is preferred. $12 hourly

• Establish a system of food stations and stock them with all of the necessary ingredients for the shift
• Maintain work stations, including all countertops, utensils, equipment, and refrigeration in a clean and sanitary condition per health and safety regulations
• Interact with visitors, vendors, and associates while maintaining a professional and positive attitude
• Adhere to established storage and waste control standards for meats, vegetables, fruits, and dairy products to ensure quality food is served
• Cook food orders at stations by following established recipes and presentation standards for grilling, broiling, and sauting menu items

• Candidates must be hardworking, detail-oriented, and have a strong work ethic
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for working with customers and other team members
• We prefer some experience working in the food service industry
• Must be able to meet all safety and sanitation requirements of kitchen equipment and food storage
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent GED certification
