STATUS: Full-Time/Onsite PAY RANGE: $18 -$22/hr

POSITION SUMMARY

Direct Dimension is seeking a hands-on, dependable Material Handler/Production Support team member to support daily shop operations within our manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for material movement, forklift operation, work order staging, inventory support, and assisting welders and fabrication teams with production readiness.

The ideal candidate has prior experience in a manufacturing or metal fabrication environment and understands the importance of organization, urgency, accuracy, and production flow.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

MATERIAL HANDLING & PRODUCTION SUPPORT

• Stage materials and components daily for welding and fabrication work orders
• Ensure welders and production teams have required materials to maintain workflow and productivity
• Transport raw materials, fabricated parts, and finished goods throughout the facility
• Assist with loading, unloading, and movement of steel and production materials

FORKLIFT & EQUIPMENT OPERATION

• Safely operate forklifts and material handling equipment
• Maintain organized storage areas and material locations
• Follow all warehouse and facility safety procedures

INVENTORY & WAREHOUSE SUPPORT

• Assist with inventory organization and stock replenishment
• Monitor material levels and communicate shortages to leadership
• Support warehouse improvement projects and facility organizations initiatives

OPERATIONAL SUPPORT

• Support production flow across fabrication or manufacturing environment
• Maintain clean and organized work areas
• Assist with general shop and operational projects as needed

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

Required Qualifications

• Previous forklift experience
• Ability to lift and move materials in a manufacturing environment
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Reliable attendance and strong work ethic
• Ability to work in a fast-paced shop environment

Preferred Experience

• Prior experience in a metal fabrication or manufacturing environment
• Experience pulling, staging, or picking materials for production work orders
• Understanding of inventory or warehouse processes
• Experience supporting welding or fabrication operations

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

• Standing for extended periods
• Lifting materials and working with metal components
• Use of tools and equipment in a manufacturing environment
• Exposure to noise, heat, and shop conditions
