Primary Responsibilities:
•Crafting Custom Woodwork: Create high-quality custom millwork items such as cabinets, furniture, and architectural details.
•Reading Blueprints: Interpret and follow detailed blueprints and drawings to meet the exactspecifications of custom orders.
•Machine Operation: Operate various woodworking machines like saws, planers, and joiners to cut and shape wood.
•Hand Finishing: Use hand tools to finish surfaces, fit pieces together, and apply finishes.
•Quality Control: Inspect finished products for quality, ensuring they meet design specifications and high standards of craftsmanship.
Skills and Qualifications:
•Experience: Proven experience as a custom woodworker, with knowledge and understanding of historic millwork preferred.
•Technical Skills: Proficiency with standard woodworking machinery and hand tools.
•Attention to Detail: Ability to produce precise and detailed work.
•Problem-Solving: Capable of troubleshooting issues during the fabrication process.
•Physical Stamina: Must be able to stand for long periods and handle heavy materials.
