Salesforce/Software Engineer

Location Note:This a hybrid role for ourWakefield,MA office(In-office one day every other week, plusadditionalin-person trainings and workshops as needed)

The Purpose of Your Role:

The Salesforce Engineer is part of the development team andis responsible forsupporting, enhancing, integrating, and extending Sentinel’s business applications, with a primary focus on the Salesforce platform and related custom systems. This role combines Salesforce platformexpertisewith strong software engineering capabilities across modern application development, integrations, and automation.

The Salesforce Engineer conducts requirements analysis, documents technical specifications, designs and develops scalable solutions, writes and reviews code, debugs issues, and contributes to release processes. This person works on complex technical problems, partners with internal stakeholders, and collaborates with other engineering team members to deliver reliable, secure, and maintainable solutions.

Whatyou’llbe responsible for:

• Build and enhance solutions on the Salesforce platform using Apex, Lightning Web Components, Flow, platform configuration, and API-based integrations

• Proven success delivering high-quality software projects on time, on budget, and within scope

• Ability to develop cloud-ready and containerized applications for internal and external platforms

• Experience working across CRM, custom applications, databases, and enterprise integration patterns

• Strong understanding of software engineering best practices, source control, testing, CI/CD, and application support

What you need to have:

Preferred qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Scienceor equivalent experience

• 2–5 years of software engineering experience, including hands-on work with Salesforce technologies

• Experience designing and building solutions on the Salesforce platform

• Experience with Apex, Lightning Web Components, Flow, Salesforce data model, security model, and integration capabilities

• Experience building and consuming REST APIs and working with JSON and XML data formats

• Experience with source controland gearset

• Familiarity with SQL/SOQLand enterprise data integration concepts

• Salesforce certifications are a plus

• Salary Range: $95,000-$105,000, depending on experience

AtSentinel, compensation is calibrated to yourgeographic locationto reflect local market conditions; theposted salary rangemay vary based on where you live.

Nice to haves:

• Programming skills in one or more general-purpose languages, especially Node.jsand Python

• Experience with Azure, AWS, or similar cloud technologies
