Summary
The IT Security Analyst II roleis responsible foradvanced monitoring, analysis, andmitigation of security alerts and incidents within FIT Technologies and its client environments. This positionleads vulnerability management efforts,leadsincident response activities, andenhancements to securitypractices.A key responsibility includes leading automation and AI-driven enhancements to security service delivery, ensuring efficiency and scalability across all security operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the monitoringand analysisofsecurity alerts/incidents toidentifycomplexthreats and vulnerabilities.
- Provide security consultation and guidance to internal teams and stakeholders.
- Oversee remediationofdetected vulnerabilities tomaintainsecuritystandard.
- Develop,present, and interpretsecurity reportsforinternal and clientstakeholders.
- Collaborate with FIT leadership to align security initiatives with organizational goals.
- Research andrecommendations
- Stay updated on the latest security trends and industry bestpractices.
- Research, evaluate, and recommendsecurity enhancements and technologies.
- Lead the review and improvement of security procedures and processes.
- Champion automation and AI initiatives to streamline security workflows, improve detection capabilities, and reduce response times.
- Lead incident assessmentsand response efforts across teams.
- Analyze logs across the network, workstations, servers, and cloud services toidentifyroot cause(s).
- Develop and executeadvancedmonitoring procedures toidentifyand remediate securityincidents.
- Manage and communicatethroughout thelifecycle ofa reportedoridentifiedsecurityincidents.

- Excellent organizational, communication (written & verbal) and interpersonalskills.
- Basic understanding of varying versions of Microsoft Windows, Active Directory,Microsoft 365, and Azure environments.
- Understandingsecurity principlesand frameworks (CIS, NIST, ISO,etc.)
- Provenabilitytoidentifyandmitigate networkvulnerabilities.
- Ability tointerface withall levels of the organization (technical and non-technical)
- Experience withAzure ADand Intune/Endpoint Manager
- Understanding offirewalls, SIEM, AV, MDR, and IDS/IPS concepts.
- Relevant security certifications (i.e.Azure,MicrosoftSecurity,CySA+)stronglypreferred.
- Experience implementing automation and AI solutions in security operations, including orchestration tools, machinelearning-based threat detection, and automated incident response workflows.
- Preferred 1-3 years of experienceworking as an IT Security Analyst or in a similar role.
Working Conditions + Physical Requirements
This position primarily operates in a professional office environment. Regular, in-person attendance at FIT Technologies Headquarters during standard business hours is required to perform the essential function of this role. The position requires prolonged periods of sitting, working at a computer, and participating in in-person meetings. Specific scheduling expectations will be determined by leadership based on business needs. Occasional evening and weekend work to support meetings, events, or deadlines, occasional work weeks of more than 40 hours.
