Immediate Need: Experienced Carpenter

Location: Florence, TX
Pay: $30–$34 per hour
Job Type: Full-Time / Construction

HireQuest Direct is urgently hiring an experienced and reliable Carpenter for an ongoing construction project in Florence, TX. We are looking for a skilled carpenter who can work independently, follow job site requirements, and produce quality work safely and efficiently.

Job Responsibilities

• Perform general carpentry work on an active construction site
• Build and install steps, stairs, handrails, and related structures
• Measure, cut, assemble, and install materials accurately
• Use carpentry hand and power tools safely
• Follow project plans, specifications, and supervisor instructions
• Maintain a clean and organized work area
• Follow all construction site safety requirements

Requirements

• Previous professional carpentry experience required
• Experience building steps, stairs, handrails, and similar structures
• OSHA 10 Certification required
• Must have your own carpenter tools
• Reliable transportation to and from the job site
• Must be able to pass a background check
• Must complete an online orientation before starting
• Must carry a valid ID with you every day
• Dependable attendance and strong work ethic

Required PPE

All required PPE must be worn on the job site:

• Steel Toe Boots with over-the-ankle coverage
• High-Visibility Safety Vest
• Type II Hard Hat
• Jeans or similar thick work material for leg protection
• Work Gloves
• Clear Safety Glasses

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, climb, and work with your hands throughout the shift
• Ability to lift and move construction materials as required
• Comfortable working in an active construction environment

Pay

$30–$34 per hour, based on experience and qualifications
