Located in beautiful Santa Fe, NM, we’re looking for a professional and enthusiastic server to join our team. As a server at Jinja Bar & Bistro, you’ll play a key role in creating memorable experiences for our guests. Your responsibilities will include: - Serving your assigned section of tables with efficiency and professionalism. - Demonstrating complete knowledge of Jinja’s food and beverage offerings. - Using your skills to sell and upsell food and drink items. - Operating the POS system to accurately ring in orders and process payments. - Interacting with guests in a friendly and timely manner, ensuring their satisfaction. - Checking IDs and adhering to alcohol compliance regulations. - Monitoring guest behavior and intervening responsibly when necessary, including offering alternative transportation if needed. - Maintaining cleanliness and completing side-work to ensure smooth restaurant operations. - Assisting with table clearing, resetting, and performing opening/closing duties as assigned.

To succeed in this role, you’ll need the following qualifications and skills: - Experience: At least 1 year of customer service experience is required. - Skills: - Excellent communication and multitasking abilities. - Strong knowledge of workplace safety procedures. - Proficiency with POS systems and handling cash transactions. - Ability to read, write, and count back change accurately. - A talent for upselling food and beverages. - Certifications: Must possess or be able to pass the Responsible Service of Alcohol Test with a score of 90% or better, along with any state-required health/alcohol compliance cards.

At Jinja Bar & Bistro, you’ll work in a vibrant restaurant environment with moderate noise levels and occasional exposure to heat, cold, and mild chemicals. The role requires frequent manual dexterity, standing, walking, and interacting with guests and team members.
