Starting at $18.08/hour (probationary period)
Increases to $19.23/hour upon permanent hire
Job OverviewA local company in the Charleston area is seeking a detail-oriented Accountant I to join their team. This position is responsible for performing basic accounting tasks and supporting financial operations. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, relevant experience, and strong foundational accounting skills.
Key ResponsibilitiesAssist with daily accounting operations, including accounts payable and receivable
Prepare and maintain financial records, reports, and reconciliations
Ensure accuracy of financial data and compliance with company policies
Support month-end and year-end closing processes
Perform other accounting duties as assigned
RequirementsBachelor's degree in Accounting required
Relevant accounting experience
Basic accounting skills, including familiarity with general ledger, reconciliations, and financial reporting
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel
Dependable, professional, and able to work independently
