We are seeking a highly organized, analytical, and detail-oriented Inventory Control Associate to support the accuracy, integrity, and efficiency of our inventory and warehouse operations.
This position plays an essential role in ensuring products are accurately received, counted, stored, tracked, and available when needed. Working closely with the Inventory Control Manager, the Inventory Control Associate is responsible for performing cycle counts, investigating inventory discrepancies, verifying incoming shipments, maintaining accurate inventory records, and ensuring products are properly identified, labeled, and stored.
Daily responsibilities include comparing physical inventory against ERP records, researching and resolving inventory discrepancies, maintaining accurate lot tracking, supporting FIFO inventory rotation, and verifying product quantities, weights, dimensions, and packaging configurations. The position also assists with receiving operations, warehouse organization, inventory adjustments, and continuous improvement initiatives.
The successful candidate must possess strong mathematical aptitude and analytical problem-solving skills. This includes confidently working with decimals, fractions, percentages, ratios, weights, volumes, dimensions, and conversions between U.S. customary and metric measurements. The ability to recognize inconsistencies, investigate root causes, and accurately interpret inventory data is essential.
This role requires exceptional attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to balance accuracy with productivity. Candidates should be comfortable using computers and learning ERP systems, barcode scanners, inventory management software, and Microsoft Excel.
Previous experience in warehouse operations, inventory control, receiving, or distribution is required, with one to three years of relevant experience preferred. Experience with cycle counting, lot-controlled inventory, FIFO procedures, and food manufacturing or specialty food distribution is especially beneficial.
The position involves working in an active warehouse environment, maintaining organized storage locations, following established safety procedures, and assisting with physical inventory activities. Candidates must be able to lift up to 50 pounds, demonstrate dependable attendance, and consistently follow company procedures and quality standards.
