Responsibilities
- Support daily HR administrative functions and employee questions.
- Maintain accurate and confidential personnel files and HR records.
- Review timecards for accuracy, missing punches, corrections, and approvals.
- Assist with payroll preparation and maintain attendance and overtime records.
- Support onboarding, new-hire paperwork, employment documentation, and employee updates.
- Assist with benefits, leave, workers’ compensation, and other HR processes.
- Prepare HR reports, spreadsheets, and correspondence.
- Assist with employee relations documentation and escalate issues when needed.
- Follow company policies and applicable California employment requirements.
- Maintain confidentiality of employee and company information.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required; HR/Business degree preferred.
- Previous HR, payroll, timekeeping, or administrative experience preferred.
- Knowledge of California labor laws, including overtime, meal/rest periods, and recordkeeping.
- Experience with employee timecards and attendance records.
- Familiarity with HRIS, payroll, or timekeeping systems preferred.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Outlook.
- Strong organization, communication, and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Bilingual English/Spanish is preferred
