About This RoleAs an integral member of our teaching team, the assistant teacher plays a vital role in fostering a secure, supportive, and engaging atmosphere for young learners. Responsibilities include assisting the lead teacher in overseeing daily classroom operations, contributing to curriculum development, and collaborating with the teaching team to ensure a cohesive and effective learning environment. Effective communication with children, parents, and colleagues is essential in meeting the diverse needs of our students and addressing parental concerns.
What You'll Do- Develop engaging, developmentally appropriate activities aligned with early learning standards to promote social, cognitive, and emotional growth in children.
- Establish and maintain open lines of communication with parents through regular updates, conferences, and written reports to keep them informed about their child's progress.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and healthy classroom environment by adhering to strict hygiene, cleanliness, and safety standards, and ensuring compliance with all center and state regulations.
- Take the initiative to continuously improve professional skills and knowledge by developing and implementing a personalized professional development plan.
- Stay up-to-date with accurate records, forms, and files, and utilize them effectively to inform instruction and enhance the learning experience.
- Collaborate with the lead teacher to plan and deliver engaging group and individual activities that meet the unique needs and interests of children.
Requirements- High School diploma or GED
- First Aid
- Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)
- Pre-Service Training
