We are looking for an experienced candidate to lead workforce development and opportunity center operations for a large nonprofit organization in Cincinnati, Ohio. This contract position with potential for a permanent role is ideal for a leader who can bring structure, strengthen team accountability, and improve day-to-day performance across multiple programs. The person in this role will guide managers, reinforce clear expectations, and help restore confidence in program execution through consistent oversight and follow-through.
Responsibilities:
• Direct the daily coordination of workforce development and opportunity center activities to support consistent service delivery and operational effectiveness.
• Lead managers and frontline teams by establishing performance expectations, monitoring attendance, and reinforcing accountability for results.
• Track key metrics and program outcomes, using data to identify gaps, improve execution, and keep teams aligned with organizational goals.
• Oversee grant-related activities by ensuring reporting, deliverables, and billing practices meet funding requirements and compliance standards.
• Partner with leadership to implement corrective actions identified through recent audit findings and sustain improvements across programs.
• Build trust within teams and across stakeholders by promoting clear communication, dependable follow-up, and strong leadership presence.
• Support program alignment across a complex nonprofit environment with multiple services, funding sources, and operating structures.
• Collaborate with internal and external partners involved in housing, social services, and community-based programs to strengthen program impact.
• Proven experience managing people and performance in nonprofit, social services, or other mission-driven organizations.
