Position Summary:
The Shipping Assistant Supervisor will help run the daily work in a shipping warehouse area. This position will guide employees, double check work is done correctly, and ensure shipments leave on time.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required:
- Excellent active listening, verbal, and written communication skills
- Ability to motivate team to accomplish objectives
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to resolve conflict among team
- Basic understanding of records, inventories, and other routine documentation used
- Forklift certification required
Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent is required
- Previous warehouse or shipping experience is highly preferred
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Passes daily instructions from supervisor to department employees
- Checks that outgoing orders have correct shipping/product labels
- Solves problems with delayed orders
- Enforces standard operating procedures and company safety policies
- Escalates team issues or conflicts to Management and Human Resources
- Covers for Shipping Supervisor during absences
- Performs other duties as assigned
Working Conditions and Physical Requirements:
- Work is usually performed in a warehouse and manufacturing environment
- Physical demands of the position are sitting, walking, and lifting
- Must be able to lift a minimum of 25 lbs at one time
