POSITION SUMMARY:
We are seeking a versatile Full-Stack Software Engineer to design, develop, test, and deploy scalable, customer-facing web applications and integrations for EDRAY's international shipping and logistics platform. This role serves as a primary developer on high-visibility initiatives, spanning front-end and back-end development, enterprise integrations, and cloud/CI-CD on Azure, while maintaining high standards for performance, security, and maintainability.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develop and Implement Features: Design, build, and ship user-centric features across the front end and back end using React/TypeScript and C#/.NET. Build and maintain reusable components, domain APIs, and the SQL data models behind them, ensuring seamless integration between the web application and EDRAY's microservices.
- Enterprise Integrations & APIs: Design, build, and consume REST APIs to connect EDRAY's platform with customer, carrier, terminal, and partner systems (ERP, TMS/WMS, EDI, and third-party tracking providers). Implement event-driven and batch integrations using Azure Service Bus and Azure Functions, ensuring reliable, secure data flow across the enterprise.
- Cloud & CI/CD: Deploy and operate workloads on Azure (Kubernetes, Container Apps, Functions, and Azure SQL), and build and maintain automated build and deployment pipelines in Azure DevOps.
- Project Delivery: Drive the full project lifecycle including discovery, design, implementation, and post-go-live support; serve as a go-live execution lead and facilitate User Acceptance Testing with customers and internal stakeholders.
- Code Review & Quality: Conduct peer reviews to ensure code quality, performance, security, and adherence to best practices.
- Support & Documentation: Provide support for existing applications and integrations, triage and resolve production issues, and maintain clear technical and deployment documentation.
- Decision Making: Autonomy in component and solution design, with the ability to suggest and implement improvements in code and engineering practices.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- 5+ years of experience.
- Full-Stack Development: 4+ years building responsive, scalable web applications across front-end and back-end.
- APIs & Integrations: Hands-on experience designing and consuming REST APIs and integrating third-party enterprise systems.
- Cloud & Messaging: Experience building and operating services on Azure, including message-based (event-driven) architectures.
Technical Skills:
- Core Competencies: React, JavaScript (ES6+)/TypeScript, C#/.NET, SQL Server.
- DevOps & CI/CD: Azure DevOps pipelines and Git-based workflows.
- Cloud: Azure App Service, AKS/Container Apps, Azure Functions, Service Bus, Azure SQL, Key Vault, and Application Insights.
- Integrations: REST APIs and webhooks; message queues; EDI (e.g., 856, 214); iPaaS tools such as Boomi; ERP, TMS/WMS, and carrier/terminal system integration.
- Analytics & Data: SQL, Application Insights/Kusto queries, Power BI.
- Preferred: Logistics, supply chain, or shipping domain experience; Docker and Kubernetes; testing frameworks such as Jest, React Testing Library, Cypress, and xUnit.
Soft Skills:
- Excellent communication and ability to collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Effective in a small, cross-functional team supporting customer-facing delivery and integration initiatives.
- Self-motivated with an ownership mentality; drives work to done with minimal supervision.
- Curious and eager to keep up with the latest technologies and industry trends.
