Composite Operator

Lamination - 1st Shift: Monday - Friday 6:30 am- 3:00 pm

Wage: $22.75

This position is responsible for making quality fiberglass parts utilizing an open mold process. We provide hands-on training to learn how to be successful in this role.

• Hand lay up of fiberglass material into mold
• Utilize rollers to work the sprayed resin into the material, thoroughly wetting the material and removing entrapped air and smoothing out any wrinkles

Material Cutter- 2nd shift: Monday - Thursday 3:00 pm-1:30 am

Wage: $22.75

Position will be responsible for performing functions including Cut materials, including but not limited to, fiberglass mat, plywood, balsa and foam, to correct dimensions and as needed based on production schedule.

· Follows and complies with all safety, work rules and regulations. Maintains departmental housekeeping standards.

Position Summary: As a Composite Operator at Carfair, you will play a critical role in the fabrication and assembly of composite components, using a variety of materials and manufacturing techniques to meet production and quality standards.

Responsibilities:

• Use hand and power tools safely and effectively to shape and finish composite parts.
• Perform quality inspections to ensure components meet standards.
• Maintain accurate production and quality documentation.
• Follow all safety protocols and maintain a clean work environment.
• Work collaboratively with team members to meet production targets and continuous improvement goals.
• Participate in training and development activities.
• Other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Requirements

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience in composite manufacturing or related field is an advantage.
• Familiarity with fiberglass, resins, and composite materials.
• Strong attention to detail and quality workmanship.
• Ability to safely handle and use various hand and power tools.
• Physical ability to perform tasks requiring lifting up to 20 lbs and standing for extended periods.
• Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.
• Self-motivated with a willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and processes.
