Staff Accountant

The Role: Staff Accountant

This is a highly-visible role that will report to the Controller. The incoming accountant will support North American operations and play a critical role in the company's month-end close process.

Ongoing responsibilities will include:

• General accounting duties include month-end closing
• Prepare and review monthly balance sheet reconciliations
• Assist in Accounts Payable troubleshooting along with preparation of metrics reports
• Preparation and filing of monthly & quarterly sales & use tax returns
• Payroll and benefits accounting
• Fixed asset accounting

Candidate Qualifications

• Knowledge of US GAAP
• One to four years of relevant experience
• Basic Financial Analysis - The ability to analyze financial data. This includes creating spreadsheets, explaining variances, identifying issues and making appropriate recommendations.
• Sale & use tax experience preferred.
• Salesforce platforms – AccountingSeed/AvSight experience preferred.
• Strong Excel skills required.
