Job Description: Ready to take charge? The Unit Manager will oversee the clinical and administrative operations of a designated unit within our nursing home. This role calls for a strong leader with excellent clinical skills and a genuine commitment to resident care. Your mission? To ensure that all nursing services are delivered with the highest quality and meet all regulatory standardsbecause we believe in doing things right!
Unit Manager Key Responsibilities:
- Take the reins and manage the daily operations of the nursing unit.
- Lead and inspire the nursing staff, handling everything from scheduling to training and performance evaluations.
- Stay on top of federal, state, and local regulations, ensuring compliance with all health and safety standards.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement care plans for our residents.
- Keep a watchful eye on resident care to ensure it meets our high standards and protocols.
- Tackle any issues or concerns related to resident care with grace and efficiency.
- Host regular staff meetings to share updates, policies, and proceduresbecause communication is key!
- Maintain accurate and organized medical records and documentationattention to detail is a must!
- Play a vital role in recruiting and onboarding new nursing staff.
- Work hand-in-hand with other department heads to ensure the facility runs like a well-oiled machine.
- Connect with residents and their families, addressing concerns and providing updates on care plans.
Unit Manager Qualifications:
- Current and valid RN license in the state of New Jersey.
- Experience as a Unit Manager is requiredthis isn’t your first rodeo!
- Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local regulations related to long-term care.
