Position Overview

Ace Landscaping is seeking a skilled and dependableEquipment Operator & Masonto join our landscape construction team. This role combines operating construction equipment with performing masonry and hardscape installations. The ideal candidate has experience with site work, excavation, and hardscape installation, and takes pride in producing high-quality work on every job site.

This position plays a key role in completing projects efficiently while maintaining company standards for safety, quality, and professionalism.

General Responsibilities

  • Operate equipment such asskid steers, mini excavators, dingos, plate compactors, and other construction equipment

  • Performsite preparation, including excavation, grading, and base installation

  • Assist withhardscape and masonry installationssuch as patios, walkways, retaining walls, steps, and stonework

  • Set and grade base materials forpavers and stone installations

  • Cut and placepavers, block, and natural stone

  • Assist withconcrete work, mortar mixing, and masonry repairs

  • Load, unload, and transport materials and tools safely

  • Work closely with theForeman and crew membersto complete projects efficiently

  • Maintain clean and organized job sites

  • Follow companysafety procedures and quality standards

General Accountabilities

  • Safely operate and maintain company equipment

  • Produce high-quality masonry and hardscape work

  • Maintain productivity while ensuring accuracy and attention to detail

  • Keep equipment, tools, and work areas clean and organized

  • Communicate with the foreman regarding job progress or issues

  • Represent the company professionally on job sites

Qualifications

  • Experience operatingconstruction or landscape equipment

  • Experience withmasonry or hardscape installation

  • Ability to read basic measurements and layout plans

  • Ability to performphysical labor in outdoor environments

  • Ability to lift50+ pounds

  • ValidDriver’s License

  • Strong work ethic and reliability

  • Ability to work well as part of a team

Preferred Skills

  • Experience withpaver patios, retaining walls, and stonework

  • Knowledge ofgrading, base preparation, and compaction

  • Experience operatingmini excavators and skid steers

  • Familiarity withlaser levels, screeds, and layout tools
