Insight Global is seeking an experienced Personal Injury Litigation Paralegal / Case Manager to support a highly respected plaintiff-side personal injury law firm in Opelousas, Louisiana. This individual will play a critical role in managing personal injury cases from intake through settlement or trial while serving as a primary point of contact for clients, insurance carriers, medical providers, and attorneys. The ideal candidate has extensive experience handling motor vehicle accident and trucking litigation matters and thrives in a fast-paced legal environment.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

  • Manage personal injury litigation files from intake through settlement or trial
  • Draft pleadings, motions, discovery, subpoenas, and legal correspondence
  • Coordinate depositions, mediations, hearings, and trial preparation activities
  • Track litigation deadlines and maintain attorney calendars
  • Communicate directly with clients, insurance adjusters, medical providers, and opposing counsel
  • Obtain, organize, and summarize medical records, billing documentation, and diagnostic imaging
  • Prepare settlement demands and supporting case documentation
  • Assist with lien resolution, settlement statements, and disbursement calculations
  • Coordinate client treatment plans and monitor case progression
  • Perform state and federal court e-filings and maintain electronic case files
  • Support attorneys with trial preparation, exhibits, witness files, and mediation materials

Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years of plaintiff personal injury litigation experience
  • Experience handling auto accident and trucking injury cases
  • Strong understanding of bodily injury and property damage claims
  • Experience obtaining and organizing medical records and treatment documentation
  • Familiarity with settlement demand preparation and litigation procedures
  • Experience with Louisiana state and/or federal court filings
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple active cases with minimal supervision
