Position Overview
Klait Homes is seeking an experienced Construction Project Manager to oversee 10+ active residential renovation projects across Metro Detroit. Projects will be in various stages of construction, requiring strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to effectively prioritize multiple jobs at once.
This is a field-based role responsible for coordinating subcontractors, managing schedules, maintaining quality standards, monitoring budgets, and ensuring projects are completed safely, on time, and within budget. The ideal candidate is proactive, communicates well, and takes ownership of their projects from start to finish with minimal supervision.
Responsibilities
- Manage 10+ active residential renovation projects simultaneously.
- Develop and maintain construction schedules.
- Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, and inspections.
- Monitor project budgets and identify potential cost overruns.
- Perform routine site visits to ensure quality workmanship and jobsite safety.
- Hold subcontractors accountable for schedules, quality, and professionalism.
- Review plans, scopes of work, and change orders.
- Maintain accurate project documentation and progress reports.
- Communicate project updates and potential issues to ownership.
- Ensure projects remain on schedule and meet Klait Homes' quality standards.
Qualifications
- 3+ years of residential construction project management experience preferred.
- Experience managing multiple residential renovation or fix-and-flip projects.
- Strong knowledge of residential construction from demolition through final inspection.
- Ability to read blueprints and construction plans.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- A college degree is not required. We value experience, accountability, and results.
