POSITION SUMMARY
We are seeking a skilledApplications Engineerspecializing in fiber laserweldingto support our growing customer base and advanced manufacturing portfolio. This role is critical in helping customers optimize processes, validate applications, and ensure the successful integration of our laserweldingsolutions into real-world production environments.
The ideal candidate brings hands-on experience withfiber laserwelding, a strong understanding of metallurgical behavior, and the ability to bridge the gap between advanced technology and customer requirements.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Conductprocess development, sample preparation, and time studies using fiber laserweldingequipment.
- Leadcustomer demonstrations, proof-of-concept evaluations, and technical presentations both in-house and at customer facilities.
- Providetechnical guidanceforweldparameter selection, joint design, fixture requirements, and material compatibility.
- Collaborate closely with Sales, Product Management, and Engineering to determine best-fit solutions and support project scoping.
- Develop and maintain detailedapplication documentation, includingweldprocedures, process notes, and technical reports.
- Supportequipment installation, commissioning, and operator training for new customers.
- Troubleshootweldingissues and provide ongoingpost-sales technical support.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives in process stability, quality, and throughput.
