ASL Fluent Paraprofessional – Deaf & Hard of Hearing Program | Lynnwood, WA

ProCare Therapy is hiring a full-time ASL-fluent Paraprofessional to support students within a Deaf and Hard of Hearing (DHH) program in Lynnwood, Washington.

This is not an interpreter position, and you do not need to hold EIPA or RID certification. We are looking for someone who can communicate fluently in American Sign Language and wants to use those skills to support students throughout their school day.

Previous school or paraprofessional experience is not required.

Position Details
Pay: $28–$32 per hour based on experience
Hours: 32.5 hours per week
Monday–Friday school schedule
Deaf and Hard of Hearing program
On-site in Lynnwood, WA

What You Need
Fluent American Sign Language (ASL) skills
Ability to communicate comfortably and consistently with Deaf and Hard of Hearing students
No EIPA certification required
No RID certification required
No interpreter certification required
No paraprofessional license required
Previous school experience is not required
Patient, reliable, and comfortable working directly with students

We welcome fluent ASL users from many different backgrounds, including childcare, caregiving, Deaf community programs, youth programs, tutoring, mentoring, behavioral services, disability support, or other environments involving children or young adults.

If you already have school or Special Education experience, that's great, but it isn't a requirement.

What You'll Do
Work directly within a Deaf and Hard of Hearing school program
Communicate with students using ASL throughout the school day
Provide classroom and individual student support
Assist students with academic, social, and functional activities
Support classroom routines and transitions
Encourage student participation and independence
Follow teacher direction and established student support plans
Collaborate with DHH teachers, Special Education staff, and other school professionals
