Job Summary

We are currently seeking a reliable and hardworkingCraterto join our team in Houston, TX. The Crater will be responsible for building and assembling wooden crates and containers used to safely package and transport products and equipment.

This is a hands-on position that requires the ability to use hand and power tools, take accurate measurements, and work safely in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Build and assemble wooden crates, boxes, and shipping containers.
• Measure, mark, cut, and assemble lumber, plywood, and other materials.
• Use hand tools, power tools, nail guns, saws, and other equipment safely.
• Read and follow measurements, drawings, and work instructions.
• Secure and protect products inside crates using appropriate materials.
• Inspect completed crates to ensure they meet quality and safety standards.
• Repair or modify crates as needed.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
• Follow all company safety procedures and wear required PPE.
• Work effectively as part of a team while meeting production goals.

Qualifications

• Previous crating, carpentry, woodworking, construction, or warehouse experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using hand and power tools.
• Ability to read a tape measure and take accurate measurements.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Reliable attendance and a strong work ethic.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• High school diploma/GED preferred.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, and work with your hands for extended periods.
• Ability to lift and handle materials weighing up to50 lbs.
• Comfortable working in a hands-on production environment.
• Must be able to safely operate required tools and equipment.
