Job Description
We are looking for an experienced Administrative Assistant to join an onsite team in Virginia. This is a permanent contract position suited for an experienced administrative team member who can manage competing priorities, communicate effectively, and provide dependable support to multiple staff members. The ideal candidate brings strong organizational judgment, sharp attention to detail, and confidence using office technology in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
• Provide day-to-day administrative support for several team members, helping keep schedules, documents, and office activities organized and on track.
• Manage front-office and receptionist-related tasks, including handling inbound calls, greeting visitors, and directing inquiries appropriately.
• Prepare, edit, and format correspondence, reports, presentations, and spreadsheets using Microsoft Office applications such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Enter, update, and maintain accurate records and files while ensuring information is organized for easy retrieval and retention.
• Use SharePoint and other agency document repositories to upload, track, and manage administrative materials in accordance with established procedures.
• Coordinate a variety of administrative projects, monitor deadlines, and follow through on details to support smooth daily operations.
• Maintain a consistent office presence at all times, including reliable onsite attendance and business-appropriate presentation.
• Assist with general office coordination duties that require sound judgment, discretion, and effective multitasking.• At least 5 years of administrative support experience in an office environment.
• Must be eligible to work in the U.S.
• Public Trust clearance is preferred, or the ability to obtain a Public Trust is required.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with staff and visitors.
• Proven ability to manage multiple assignments simultaneously while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint.
• Experience with data entry, document management, and general administrative office support.
• Availability to work onsite on a permanent basis in McLean, Virginia with no remote work option.
