JOB SUMMARY:
The Environmental Field Laborer (Field Tech) must be able to work in compliance on various remediation and industrial maintenance projects. They must adhere to and maintain strict compliance with corporate/office policies and procedures, established health and safety protocols, and all applicable local, state, and federal regulations.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Executionoffieldworkencompassedinremediationandindustrialmaintenanceprojectswhileunder directorindirectsupervision.
- Correctcompletionofalljob-specific,employee-relatedMERpaperworkincludingTimesheets,DailyWorkReports, Driver’sLogs andDailyTailgateSafetyMeetingForms.
- Understandandworkwithinproject’sdetailedscope-of-worktomaintainstrictcompliancewithcontractdocuments,projectschedules,andcorporatepoliciesandprocedures.
- Worksafelyduringallphasesofperformingthejobdutiesrequiredinthefield.
- Abilitytoperformworkinsideareasofvaryingdimensions;involvingsquattingandcrawlingforpossibleextendedperiods.
- Abilitytofollowdirections;read/speakandunderstandEnglish;readandunderstandcommon dangerplacards/labelsandhazardouswarningliteratureincludingsitesafety plans.
- Theabilitytosafelydriveandperformsafetychecksonallvehiclesforwhichlicensed.
- Projectworkmayrequireoutoftowntravelfor twoweeksormore
- Mustbeabletounderstandandcomplywithcompanyandclientsafetystandards.
- Duetothediversityofbothscheduledandnon-scheduledprojects,physicaldemands,and environmentalconditionsvary significantlydependingonthe project.
- Workoutsideyearroundinalltypesofweather.
- Mayworkinenvironmentsthatareextremeinnaturelikeenvironmentalconditionssuchasheat,cold,heights,hazardouschemicals,loudnoises,dangerousequipment,longhoursetc.
- Maybeexposedtovarying levelsof physical activitiesandphysical extremessuch aslong periodsofstanding,walking,crouching,useofhands,andheavyliftingofupto50poundsormore.
- Must be clean shaven at all times to allow immediate donning and seal of respirator.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- RequiresHighSchoolDiplomaorGED(orequivalentreading,writingandreasoningskills).
- Experienceinemergencyresponse,manuallabor,generalconstructionand/orindustrialcleaningis preferred.
- AvalidClass“D”Driver’sLicenseisrequired.
- TWIC preferred.
- OSHA40-HRHAZWOPER&ConfinedSpaceEntrycertificationsaredesiredbutnotrequired.
- Successful completion of a pre-employment background and substance screening process including, but not limited to, employmentverifications,criminalsearchandMotorVehicleRecord (MVR) search as well continued verifications throughout employment to ensure that all records meet companypolicystandards.

This is an hourly position; the hiring range for the Environmental Field Technician position in Richmond, VA is: $20.00/hour - $22.00/hour
The actual hourly rate offered will be determined based on multiple factors including but not limited to relevant skills and experience.
