Sportsman Boatsis looking for aCNC operatorresponsible for the operation of the CNCmachines to cut materials while meeting production goals and high-quality standards. Our schedule is Monday - Thursday 5:00 am - 3:45 pm. There may be opportunities for overtime based on production needs.
What you will do:
- Performall assigned CNC operations meeting daily and weekly production goals while maintaining high-quality standards
- Detectand reportdefective materials or questionable conditions to management
- Maintainthe work area and equipment in a clean, orderly condition and follow prescribed safety procedures
- Transport materials to different areas of the CNC shop
- Performinspection of machined productsand document results
- Completeand maintainpaperwork for parts
- Assistin other work areas in upholstery department as needed
Requirements:
- Minimum one year of experience as a CNC operator in a fast-paced manufacturing facility
- Experience using small hand tools
- Knowledgeable in the areas of material cutting, sewing, upholstery, and foam assembly
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team; ability to follow schedules
- Detail-oriented, proactive, and able to complete tasks independently with minimal supervision
- Advanced verbal communication skills
- Advanced time management and organizational skills
- High School diploma or equivalent
PreferredExperience:
- Experience working with wood, leather, fiberglass, and vinyl in the marine industry
- Experience using the Eastman, Axyz, 3-Axis, or 5 Axis and Router systems
This job operates in a manufacturing plant environment. This role routinely wears protective clothing and masks.
