THIS ROLE IS FOR SPACEX / STARLINK IN BASTROP, TX AND IS A DIRECT HIRE. PAY IS $21.50 - $35/HR BASED ON EXPERIENCE

Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented Production Technician with technical expertise in tools such as fasteners, pneumatics, hydraulics, multimeter/Ohm’s law, calipers/micrometers, and torque wrench. The role requires the ability to read work instructions, drawings, and schematics, as well as troubleshoot and disassemble equipment. The ideal candidate can follow processes and provide examples of enhancing efficiency and accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Utilize hand tools for mechanical assembly and general production tasks.
• Interpret and follow blueprints, schematics, and work instructions accurately.
• Perform troubleshooting and maintenance on equipment, ensuring optimal performance.
• Disassemble and reassemble equipment as required.
• Conduct inspections and machine operations adhering to production standards.

Essential Skills

• Proficiency in using hand tools and mechanical assembly techniques.
• Ability to read and interpret schematics and blueprints.
• Experience in machine operation and general labor.
• At least 1+ year of hands-on technical experience in manufacturing, maintenance, trades, auto, military, or vocational settings.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• ITAR-eligible.
• High School diploma or GED equivalent.
• Ability to work all shifts, including weekends, and adhere to an AWS schedule.
• Capacity to stand, climb, wear PPE, and lift up to 25 lbs in a loud production environment.
• Bonus qualifications include 2+ years of hands-on experience, familiarity with MES/ERP systems, 5-Why analysis, and OSHA/forklift certification.

This is a Permanent position based out of Bastrop, TX.

The pay range for this position is $35000.00 - $73000.00/yr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
