MOD BIKES - Shop Crew Member

MOD BIKES is seeking a Full-Time Shop Crew Member to join our team in Austin, TX. This role is hands-on, fast-paced, and perfect for someone who enjoys variety in their workday and being part of a growing company. You'll jump between departments day to day, helping with bike builds, customer loading and deliveries, warehouse organization, order fulfillment, and event support, all while bringing good energy to everything you do.

• Perform routine maintenance and repairs on electric bikes, including tune-ups, drivetrain and brake adjustments, and general troubleshooting.
• Assemble and tune new e-bikes to ensure optimal performance and safety.
• Perform safety checks, inspections, and diagnostics on incoming bikes.
• Maintain the MOD demo fleet to ensure bikes are always in ride-ready condition.
• Assist with bike packing and shipping as needed.

• Support the sales team with test ride prep and light bike adjustments.
• Maintain a clean, organized workshop and ensure tools and equipment are properly cared for.

• 2+ years of experience as a bike mechanic (e-bike experience a plus).
• Strong working knowledge of drivetrain systems, brake systems (mechanical & hydraulic), and bike assembly.
• Attention to detail and commitment to quality and safety.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to lift and maneuver e-bikes (up to 75 lbs).
• Willingness to work weekends and holidays as needed.
• Basic computer skills and comfort with tools like Shopify, Slack, or Freshdesk a plus.

• Experience working with electric bike systems such as Shimano, Bafang, or Bosch.
• Bilingual (Spanish-English).
• General handyman skills such as basic welding or light woodworking.
