Material Handler

Automation Personnel Services is looking for ahardworking, reliableMaterial Handlerfor awell-establishedhardware retailer andlumber yard basedinRobertsdale,AL.On this teamyou will handle and maintain the flow of materials and products on the premises.Loading, unloading, stacking, maintaining inventory and pulling orders for customers.You willbe ina production environment, subject to temperature variations, mechanical parts, increased noise levels and dust.

$16.00perhour

Monday throughFriday

7AM–4:00PM

Material HandlerDuties and Responsibilities
•Provide general labor services as needed in the lumber yardincluding climbing, lifting, pushing or kneeling

•Ability tocarry,stack, and liftpieces of lumberand materials

• Perform necessary tasks to ensure good housekeeping for a safe and efficient operation

•Operate motorized and non-motorized material handling equipment, some of which may require specialized training

•Respond attentively to training from foreman or senior handlers to increase knowledge of work processes, be a team player

• Attend periodic safety meetings as required

Material HandlerQualifications and Requirements
•Background Check and Drug Screen

•Liftand carry up to 50 pounds frequently and on occasion up to 75lbs(assessment performed)

•Must be able to stand for long periods of time

•Must be able towithstand extreme temperatures, asyou will be working outdoors

•Forklift operation a plus
